Fabric Weaving
Loom
Our in-house fabric weaving loom is the foundation of quality control at GM Apparels. From raw yarn to finished fabric — every thread is woven under our roof, giving us unmatched control over texture, weight, density, and pattern.
Weaving Fabric
From Scratch
A fabric weaving loom is a machine that interlaces two sets of yarns — the warp (vertical threads) and the weft (horizontal threads) — at right angles to create woven fabric. At GM Apparels, this machine sits at the very start of our production line.
Instead of buying fabric from third-party mills, we weave our own. This means we control the exact weight, weave structure, thread count, and finish of every fabric that goes into your garment — from suits and blazers to trench coats and uniforms.
The result: consistently premium fabric that no external supplier can replicate for your exclusive orders.
Inside Our Loom
Every component of our weaving loom works in harmony to produce the finest woven fabric for premium menswear.
Our primary loom structure — showing the complete frame, warp beam, reed, heddles, and fabric take-up mechanism. The entire fabric width is woven in a single continuous pass from warp beam to cloth roll.
Holds hundreds of warp threads parallel under equal tension. The warp beam controls thread delivery rate and fabric density.
The shuttle carries the weft yarn across the warp shed at high speed. A bobbin inside holds the weft thread supply for continuous weaving.
Twill weave — used for suit fabric, trousers and trench coats. Diagonal rib pattern provides durability, drape and elegance.
Each warp thread passes through a heddle eye. By raising and lowering heddle frames, the loom creates the shed through which the shuttle passes.
The reed spaces warp threads evenly and beats each weft thread into place after insertion — determining the fabric's thread count and density per inch.
